After logging in to DRC INSIGHT Portal, select the Test Management tile from the landing page. Alternatively, you can select Test Management from the My Applications menu.
When you open Test Management, the View Registrations page displays by default. A navigation menu on the left side of the screen allows you to move between the three pages within Test Management: View Registrations, Create Registration, and Registered Participants.
Different actions are performed on different pages depending on what you are trying to accomplish. However, most tasks are completed from the View Registrations page, which serves as the primary workspace within Test Management.
- Search/view/edit registrations
- Create registrations
- Cancel (delete) registrations
- Add students to a registration
- Export registration details
- Print test tickets
- Regenerate test tickets
- End incomplete tests
- Update testing codes
Terminology
As the DRC INSIGHT portal is updated, you may notice new terminology for familiar features and processes in Student, Import, and Test Management. The workflows themselves haven’t changed, only what they’re called. In the table below, Legacy refers to the previously used terminology for features in the DRC INSIGHT portal.
| Legacy Term in DRC INSIGHT Portal | New Term in DRC INSIGHT Portal |
| Test Session(s) | Registration(s) |
| Testing Window | Registration Window |
| Test Session Upload (TSU) | Student and Registration Import |
Test Management Site Selector
The Site Selector is used to select your district and school from within Import Management, Student Management, and Test Management. A site will need to be selected before any work can be performed in these applications. Site Selector will retain your selection as you navigate throughout the portal.
Note: Users with access to multiple sites should confirm the correct site is selected before proceeding with important tasks.
What is a Registration?
A Registration is a grouping of students who will take the same assessment and domain(s). For example, a group of students at the same grade level may be in the same registration.
For information on Viewing and Editing a Registration see Viewing and Editing a Registration.
For information on Creating a Registration, see Creating a Registration.
Users with the “Registration – Search/View“ permission can view registrations from the View Registrations page within Test Management. Each registration will display the assessments contained within, the number of students assigned to the registration, the assessment window, and the status of the registration—Processing, Not Started, In Progress, or Completed.
| Status | Description |
| Processing | The registration is being created and will update to a Not Started status once finished. Refresh the screen to check for status updates. |
| Not Started | The registration has not started—no student in the session has started the test. |
| In Progress | One or more students in the registration have started the test, but not all students have finished the test. |
| Completed | The registration is finished—all the students in the registration have completed the test. |
