What is a Registration?

Last Updated on May 8, 2026

A Registration is a grouping of students who will take the same assessment. For example, a group of students at the same grade level may be in the same registration. Students who are included in the Student Import File using the Student Import process in WIDA AMS will automatically be placed into registrations based on grade cluster and domain for WIDA ACCESS Online or grade cluster for WIDA Screener Online.

Note: Every student taking WIDA ACCESS or WIDA Screener Online will need to be in registration(s) to complete an online test.

For information on Viewing and Editing a Registration see Viewing and Editing a Registration.

From View Registration(s), you can view all the registrations for a specific district or school. The page displays the status of the registration—Not Started, In Progress, or Completed.
