Change Assessment

In order to change the assessment for a registration, the test must be in a Not Started status.  An assessment cannot be changed if the test is In Progress or Completed status.

  1. Select Test Management from the WIDA AMS My Applications menu.
  2. Confirm or enter your site criteria in the upper right corner. Select Save.
  3. Confirm or select your Registration Window in the drop-down. Make sure to select the correct year.
  4. From View Registration(s), locate the registration you wish to edit. You can use filters to narrow your search.
  5. Select the checkbox next to the Registration Name.
  6. Select the Change Assessment button on the top right of the results table.
  7. The Change Assessment(s) window will display where you can select the assessment you want to change it to.
    Note:
    • For the Screener administration, the Change Assessment feature can be used to update a registration to an assessment that is one grade level below the current grade-level cluster. For example, if the registration for a student in grade 4 was originally for Screener Grade 4-5, the registration could be updated to Screener Grade 2-3.

    • For the ACCESS administration, a registration can only be updated to an assessment within the same grade-level cluster. For example, if the registration was originally for Writing Grade 4-5 it cannot be updated to Writing HW for Grade 4-5. The registration cannot be updated to a new grade-level cluster.
  8. Select the checkbox next to the Assessment Name you want to change.
  9. Select Change.
  10. A message will display indicating the number of student registrations that were changed. If a student’s registration was not updated, the student’s registration was in an In Progress or Completed status, or the assessment chosen was invalid based on that student’s grade or other registrations.
