Clone a Form

Last Updated on May 13, 2026

Cloning a form allows you to use a pre-existing form and apply edits without editing the original form. You cannot clone forms in the Inactive or Invalid status.

To clone a form, do the following:

  1. Select a content area from the Content Area dropdown.
  2. Search for the form you want to clone.
  3. Select Clone by clicking on the vertical ellipsis from the Actions dropdown menu, or click on the Form Name to open the Edit Form page and click Clone.
  4. Enter a new Form Name.
  5. Continue editing the form as you would normally.
  6. When you are done editing the form, do one of the following:
    • Click Publish if you are creating a Final form and the form is ready for use. The form status will change to Published and you will not be able to edit the form.
    • Click Save if you want to save all of your information and keep the form in Draft status to continue editing.
    • Click Cancel to exit editing the form and discard any unsaved changes. The form status will remain as DRAFT and will contain any previously saved information.
